Lovebug Designs reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. Any such changes will take effect when posted on the website and it is your responsibility to read the terms and conditions on each occasion you use this website and your continued use of the website shall signify your acceptance to be bound by the latest terms and conditions.
By placing an order with Lovebug Designs you are agreeing to these Terms & Conditions.
When requesting invitation samples, please bear in mind that all Lovebug Designs stationery is copyright to Lovebug Designs and the sample must not be copied in part or whole under any circumstances and legal action will be sought if the copyright laws are abused. Colours shown in the images displayed on this website and electronic email proofs (pdf files) may vary slightly from the colours of the final printed product. This is because colours displayed on screen resolution and in print will be slightly different. However, I try to show all stationery products and colours as accurately as possible. I advise customers to order samples wherever possible before ordering stationery. This ensures that you are 100% happy with the design and colours before you commit to an order.
Payment & Prices
A 50% deposit is required when placing a wedding stationery order. This deposit is non-refundable. The remaining balance is required once the proofs have been signed off by the client. Please bear in mind when ordering stationery that once quantities have been agreed on email then materials will be ordered by Lovebug Designs. In the event of the client changing the quantity for a much lesser number, excess materials left over from the original quantity will be charged for. All other Lovebug Designs accessories e.g. albums, guest books, keepsake boxes and post boxes require full payment before production. Payment is by bank transfer, cash or PayPal. All PayPal payments will be charged a 4% transaction fee which will be confirmed on your final invoice. Prices quoted to you by consultation, email, phone or post are valid for a term of 30 days from the date of consultation, email or letter. Prices are subject to change without prior notice and at the discretion of Lovebug Designs. If you have placed an order with Lovebug Designs, prices at time of order will apply. Prices include typesetting and layout and printing of your stationery. Prices include envelopes with the following items: Save The Date Cards,Wedding Invitations, Evening Invitations, Reply Cards and Thank You Cards. Prices do not include postage and packing – this will be quoted for separately and is applicable to all orders unless collection is arranged.
Proof-reading is the responsibility of the client. Please check the proof with great care and in detail to ensure it meets your requirements. The proof has been prepared to allow you the opportunity to check for errors and mistakes, both yours and mine. I cannot accept liability for errors, however caused, which are evident in the proof and not indicated by you at this stage. You are liable for all relevant costs incurred in correcting such mistakes once the proof has been approved and work on the item has begun. Changes made to the design or wording specifications may incur additional charges if work has already begun on an item. Lovebug Designs cannot be held responsible for any errors that go unnoticed after the proofs have been approved or for gaining copyright permission for the use of hymns used in the Order of Service. Hymns are used at the client’s discretion. Names for invitations, place cards and table plans and wording for Order of Service sheets is to be supplied by email as a Word document or extra charges will be incurred for typesetting any documents / photocopies that are sent in the post.
All Lovebug Designs stationery is individually handmade to order and are therefore subject to minor variations, these are not considered faults. Once an order has been placed and a deposit received, a production date for each stage of the order will be sent to you by email. These dates must be strictly adhered to and the information that is asked for must be sent on time, as other clients must be taken into consideration and I may not be able to move your production date due to other orders already being booked in. Failure of this may result in your order being put back several weeks, or cancelled if is too close to the wedding date. Manufacture of stationery will only commence once final payment and proofs (signed and dated) have been received from the client. Any changes made to the order once manufacture has commenced may incur additional charges. If the client orders wedding stationery in stages instead of all at the same time, Lovebug Designs cannot guarantee continuity in ribbon colours etc. due to the nature of the manufacture process.
When ordering invitations, please consider ordering blanks/extras at the same time to ensure consistency. A one off admin charge will be made (in addition to the charge per extra invite) for small batches of extra invitations ordered later on after your initial invitation order has been completed due to the extra time taken in making small orders. Please bare in mind extra materials may also have to be ordered to fulfil these requests and also a reasonable timescale needs to be considered as my diary is booked up for months in advance and the extras will need to be fitted around other clients orders. A quote will be sent upon the extra invitation request detailing all relevant costs along with a production date.
All orders are sent by courier, and will require a signature to accept delivery. The cost will be specified on the quote. I will endeavour to ensure that your stationery order arrives to you in perfect condition. Lovebug Designs cannot take responsibility for late delivery due to factors outside my control (e.g. postal strike). Any damages during the postal process must be notified to me within 24 hours of receipt of your order. Lovebug Designs will not be held responsible for any damages which occur when you post your invitations to your guests. Due to the size of some of the invitations and the embellishments used, they will require ‘large letter’ postage stamps so I advise you to have the items weighed and measured at the Post Office prior to sending to your guests so they do not have to collect them from the Post Office and pay additional charges to retrieve them.
All copyright and design rights associated with my designs belong to Lovebug Designs. This includes the designs, any variations of the design (which may have been tailored specifically for a client), the final products themselves and the images of the designs. I reserve the right to use the images on my website and in any publications (all personal details e.g. postal addresses etc. will be replaced by fictional details if applicable). Designs must not be copied in their entirety or part without prior consent from the copyright owner. Abusers of the copyright laws will be prosecuted. All content, images and text on this website belong to Lovebug Designs. Where possible, all Lovebug Designs creations will feature a small printed brand name. This will not affect the design and is for copyright and branding reasons.
Due to the delicate nature and embellishments on Lovebug Designs stationery and accessories, they are not suitable for small children
Returns / Refunds / Cancellations
Lovebug Designs will not refund or exchange goods unless they are faulty and work on replacement stationery will not commence until all items in question are returned to me. If you order is arriving by post, you, the client, will inspect the goods as soon after delivery as is reasonably practical and will notify me of any shortages, defects in the goods or any other complaint in respect of them within 2 days of receiving the goods. I will ask that any stationery in question be returned to me, accompanied by an email detailing any faults or damage. Once it has been established that the fault lies with Lovebug Designs, stationery will be rectified or replaced as required based on an individual basis and all settlements will only be made with replacement stationery. If you fail to comply with this, Lovebug Designs will not be held liable in respect of this or any other compliant, which should have been brought to my attention within this 2 day period. If an order is being collected in person, they will require checking and signing by the person collecting.
In the event of any cancellation Lovebug Designs will retain the 50% deposit. If cancellation is made after work has commenced, I reserve the right to retain final payment, to cover any additional costs I may have incurred. Because all Lovebug Designs wedding stationery and accessories are entirely made to order they are non-returnable. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Lovebug Designs takes the privacy of clients seriously and all personal information given is only used to process your wedding stationery order. Personal details will be not be disclosed to any third parties. To ensure that all customers are given the highest security when making an online payment, Lovebug Designs have used PayPal as the payment system to process all credit and debit card transactions. This means Lovebug Designs have a confirmation email from PayPal that the transaction has been successful. Lovebug Designs never see the customers’ card details.
Lovebug Designs will, in no way, stand for rude, threatening or aggressive behaviour either face to face or by email. If necessary, Lovebug Designs reserve the right to cancel any order placed if a client becomes rude or aggressive. I am entitled to refuse any order placed by you and will not be required to provide an explanation. If work has begun on any item of stationery then Lovebug Designs will deduct the amount owed from the monies paid and refund the remaining balance to the client before the clients order is closed.
